Destaco 81L20-10100 pneumatic hold down clamp is designed with superior reliability, durability, longevity and precision, and is specifically intended for harsh welding environments requiring superior clamping power. This pneumatic swing clamp utilises compressed air to hold workpieces in place. It has a pneumatic cylinder with an input port to connect to a source of compressed air. This pneumatic hold down clamp has an aluminium body and a horizontal clamping, steel arm for increased strength and durability. Destaco 81L20-10100 pneumatic hold down clamp holds products securely in place to ensure error free operations and is intended for harsh welding environments that demand superior clamping power for improved durability, reliability & precision. This pneumatic clamp is integrated with hardened rivets & bushings at pivot points to fix, rotate & move the handle bar for the required work position. Destaco 81L20-10100 pneumatic swing clamp is equipped with a patented Toggle Lock mechanism for locking the clamp in a fixed position if a sudden pressure drop or hose disconnection is detected. This pneumatic swing clamp can handle a maximum load of 73.8 lb at pressures up to 72 psi, within temperatures ranging from -14 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This pneumatic power clamp is compatible with Destaco seal kits (81L16-1-00) for unobstructed functioning of the clamp, as well as accommodates sensors (8EA-109-1) that can be mounted to cylinders having T-slot grooves. These sensors are activated with a magnetic ring which is installed on the cylinder of the clamps.

A. Yes, Destaco 81L Series pneumatic power clamps are available in cylinder bore sizes up to 25 mm. The number after '81L' represents the cylinder bore size. For example, 81L12 denotes cylinder bore size of 12 mm & 81L16 denotes cylinder bore size of 16 mm.
A. Destaco offers pneumatic power clamps in multiple variants having different holding capacities. The capacity of a particular clamp can be measured by calculating the distance between the clamping plate (at its highest position) & the workbench.

The most important consideration is the size of the component that you're clamping, the amount of space available in the production process and what kind of access you need to have around the clamp. If you are clamping a very small component and you need to hold it close to the clamp, clearly a small clamp will be required. Secondly, one needs to consider the distance between the pivot point & the length of the clamp arm and the weight of the tooling. In addition, the user must also consider the amount of clamping force or holding force you need the clamp to apply.

We suggest not to exceed the recommended pressure because it may tremendously damage your workpiece. In addition, too little weight is also not ideal.
