Watts water pressure regulators are suitable for applications in hot water storage heaters and washing machines to reduce the incoming water supply pressure. As a result, these pressure regulators are designed to protect downstream plumbing components and control water consumption. They are capable of withstanding supply pressures up to 300 psi and allow manual adjustment of pressure within the range of 25 - 75 psi. These Watts pressure reducers feature a high-temperature-resistant diaphragm for compatibility with both hot & cold water and a sensitive spring with a large diaphragm area to provide accurate pressure control. The removable disc holders of these regulators allow in-line servicing of the entire unit, as well as replacement of the disc without having to dismantle the pressure valve. Watts LF223S Series regulator valves also come equipped with a stainless-steel perforated strainer screen to prevent the ingress of contaminants and a sealed spring cage for accessible outdoor or pit installations. The optional bypass feature (on selected models) permits the flow back through the valve into the main supply line when pressure on the valve outlet exceeds the pressure on the main supply.
